I’ve been fortunate to work with quite a few young families over the past couple of years. I just love witnessing this stage of life. Working with the Kozak family was no exception. Jessie and Mike are incredible parents to baby John, and I was thrilled that we got to take these photos on a weekend that Jessie’s family was in town. It was great being able to grab a few group shots, grandma/grandson shots, and auntie/nephew shots. Little ones grow so fast, and investing in professional photography at this stage is well worth it.
I got to be there for John’s first birthday pary a few weeks ago, and they had a beautifully decorated strip of photos up on the wall: one for each of the last twelve months since he was born. I photographed their family at month nine, and John had already changed so much from month nine to month twelve! He is getting cuter by the day.
We took these photos in the park adjacent to the Ballard Locks. I honestly couldn’t have hand-picked a more beautiful spot. As soon as I saw the trees glowing with their autumn colors, I knew this would become a favorite photo shoot spot of mine in Seattle.
